FDRD needs volunteers

Daily News staff report

The Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour returns to Keystone this summer on June 23-24, and Friends of the Dillon Ranger District is looking for volunteers to help out.

The nonprofit that assists the U.S. Forest Service in caretaking national forest lands is the beneficiary of the event again this year, which means about 70 volunteers are needed to help out in three-hour shifts during the two-day event.

Volunteers can work more than one shift. Officials say it’s a fun, easy, unique event to volunteer on.
