FDRD thanks its volunteers

Daily Staff Writer

Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD) would like to thank everyone who joined in on the fun at Breckenridge Ski Resort’s mountain cleanup effort on June 28.Twelve FDRD volunteers and one Forest Service employee collaborated with 88 Resort employees to collect more than 100 bags of trash/garbage (and one bag of recyclables) from the ski area, thereby assuring a pleasurable experience for all visitors to this popular Summit County destination.FDRD volunteers generated 66 hours of volunteer stewardship for our National Forest lands, valued at approximately $1,239. Special thanks go to Breckenridge Resort for providing us with a great barbecue and beverages at the end of the day!
