FDRD to celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday

The Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD) invite you to celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday by joining them for their first Summer 2006 volunteer service project, National Forest Clean Up Day, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.Meet at Dillon Ranger District, located in Silverthorne across from Target at 8:30 for bagels and coffee. From there, we will carpool to our site location. Snacks and beverages will be provided at the end-of-the- day tailgate party.Volunteers will help pick up litter visible after the spring snowmelt at the Green Mountain Reservoir. In doing so, these volunteers will assure pleasing experiences for future users of this popular recreation destination, and will ensure this area remains a spectacular destination for locals and visitors alike.Volunteers should dress for a day outdoors.
