RE: Banning Bibles in schools: Beware of double standards (Daily Mail, June 11)As a devout agnostic, I agree with C.L. Giles that we should not fear Bibles in the schools. Yes, we should absolutely see this as a free-thought issue. That’s why I’m sure Mr. Giles will join me in supporting the distribution of another tome that critiques the Bible from a secularist/scholarly perspective. I don’t expect it to move off the shelves like the Bible – there is, after all, a sucker born again every minute – but surely no one can object to the presentation of an alternative view.
