Field passes away after Wednesday morning traffic accident near Breck

SUMMIT COUNTY – Wendy Lynn Field, 48, passed away Thursday after losing control of her 2005 Ford Aspire on Tiger Road Wednesday morning near Breckenridge, according to Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson.Field’s vehicle struck another car, when she suffered head and neck trauma. Field was taken to Summit Medical center and taken by Flight for Life to St. Anthony’s Central, where she was placed on life support, Richardson said.Field used to help everybody, said her sister, Bonnie Paffenroth. “Even past her death, she still gives,” Paffenroth said, explaining that Wendy decided to donate “everything.”John Field, her husband, has lived in this area around Breckenridge for decades. Wendy was a resident in Alma, and used to live in Breckenridge, Paffenroth explained.Memorial services are still being planned.
