Fielder presents splendid Colorado scenes

BRECKENRIDGE – Nationally renowned nature photographer John Fielder will share some of his favorite images of Colorado tonight as a part of the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center’s annual Summit Adventure Series.

Fielder – also a publisher, teacher and preservationist – knows Colorado intimately. He skis, hikes and drives all over Colorado each year to photograph its natural beauty.

Fielder will present a slide show today based on his recent book and travel guide, “Best of Colorado,” which includes images of more than 100 of his favorite scenic locations in Colorado. Though Fielder photographed some of the images deep in the wilderness, he also has recorded stunning views from roadside scenic overlooks, the eastern plains and southwest Colorado near Four Corners.

The slide show will begin at 7 p.m. today at the Pioneer Club at Main Street Station in Breckenridge. Admission is $7 and includes door prizes. All proceeds benefit the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center and the Summit Huts Association. Individual and season tickets, and business Patron Passes are available in advance. Individual tickets are also available at the door.
