Fire burns historic Durango building

DURANGO Durango firefighters are investigating what caused a fire that burned a historic building that housed an office for Rep. John Salazar.No injuries were reported in the fire Sunday morning at the Newman Block building, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.Durango Fire & Rescue Authority Chief Dan Noonan would not speculate on what caused the fire.The building holds several businesses and offices, including the Durango office for Salazar, a Colorado Democrat.Information from: Durango Herald,
