Flag burners had something to say about an imperialistic nation

For the past couple of days, I’ve read the tabloids about the flag being burned.

I don’t necessarily like what happened but it makes a point. Look at the situation from a different view, don’t get defensive and try to understand what is going through their minds.

There are a lot of valid things they are trying to say. The United States jumps at the chance to go to war whenever possible. War should be the last opportunity and it seems like we are quick to fight.

The U.S. is the most imperialistic country the world has ever seen – taking control over a country or annexing an island for the sole purpose to have a military stronghold, is almost as bad as fighting a war for corporate reasons.

The American people are being brainwashed whether they want to admit it or not. I used to say the Pledge of Allegiance in school, and at sporting events you will most certainly hear the national anthem.

Are these patriotic acts or are they a part of something more? The Pledge of Allegiance being said in elementary school sickens me.

The kids are being suckered at a young age (far too young to know) to love their country. You don’t see the government making elder men say the Pledge of Allegiance.

Love this country if you want to, not if someone tells you to.
