Editor’s Note: Child pornography charges were eventually dismissed.

BRECKENRIDGE – The felony child pornography case against Dennis Flint, the former local health care CEO, is slated for jury trial June 21-29.

On Monday, the trial length was extended a day because an expert the defense selected wasn’t available for previous trial dates, according to records with Summit County Courts.

Flint has pleaded innocent to the charge of felony-child porn possession for which he was arrested in March 2009. Earlier this year, he exhausted his finances and changed attorneys to public defender Dana Christiansen.

The charges against Flint stem from data found on two computer hard drives in 2006. The FBI turned the evidence over to local authorities after finding Flint was not involved with an interstate porn nexus.

The evidence was revealed through a spyware program Flint’s wife installed on the computers, which captured images downloaded of adults engaged in sexual conduct with children, according to an affidavit in the case file.

The June trial is to be followed by a July 7 trial for a misdemeanor case regarding an incident in December 2008. The charges in the latter case involve child abuse against Flint’s daughter.

Flint was CEO of High Country Health Care until shortly after his arrest last year.
