Flint trial an outrage

John Katona, Jr., Colorado Springs

During the past two years, I have attended two trials and numerous hearings regarding the prosecution of Dennis Flint.

Judge Ruckriegle and District Attorney Mark Hurlbert understand all too well the flimsy nature of these vindictive and scurrilous charges. And two hung juries do, too!

Clearly, the recent series of highly publicized failed prosecutions of extremely salacious sex cases (Kobe/Tibetan masseuse/Flint) expose a public policy position and legal agenda that are not based on reality.

As quoted in a recent Daily article, why Hurlbert would deliberately ruin the lives of innocent people, and waste a million dollars of hard-earned tax revenue in the process, to “educated Judge Ruckriegle on victimhood,” is absolutely beyond me.

Hurlbert and his minion must be held accountable for such a scandalous abuse of office.

Put another way, how many reputations need to be publicly tarred and feathered before the media and community take affirmative action to document and stop this ongoing outrage?
