There will be awesome giveaways including a grand prize of two free tickets for the Widespread Panic show Aug. 17-18 at Fiddler’s Green. Second prize will be a free round of golf for four at Copper Creek. Third prize will be a free rafting trip from Adventure Specialist Whitewater. There will be ample other prizes throughout the night, so make sure you get there as soon as you can and enjoy yourself.

Local bands the Burn and Funky Discharge will supply live entertainment from 6 p.m.-2 a.m.

The Burn is a local five-piece group formed in 1998 that generates constant audience energy and a good time with their own style of high altitude mountain funk. It consists of local musicians Billy Breznau on bass, saxophone and vocals, drummer Matt Cole, Peter King on guitar and vocals, Mike Lovely on keyboards and vocals and Scott Williams on guitar and vocals.

The band’s musical influences are diverse but come together superbly in its expression and set list to give audiences plenty of tastes and styles to enjoy. Its set includes 90 percent original songs, however a Burn show is always interesting and mixed up with cover tunes as well. For more information on the Burn, visit http://www.theburnrocks.com.

If you’re ready to hear some psychedelic funk, Funky Discharge will also be there to show you what it means. Formed nearly a year ago, the band is already making a name for itself in the local music scene. Band members for Funky Discharge include Matthew Cheek on guitar and vocals, Joe Bryant on bass guitar, Eric Massey on guitar and vocals, David Marsh on percussion and vocals and Dan Spofford on drums and vocals.
