Food-handling class held for teens

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

ServSafe is offering a free safe food-handling class for youth looking for a summer job in the foodservice industry. ServSafe is a nationally recognized training developed by the national Restaurant Association as a comprehensive program addressing food safety issues. This training will increase the chances of foodservice employment for 14- through 19-year olds. Class is offered from 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. in the Buffalo Mountain Room in the County Commons near Frisco on Wednesday. ServSafe Certification will be awarded upon completion. Registration is necessary. Call CSU Cooperative Extension at (970) 668-4140 for registration or information.
