Forest Health Task Force meets tonight in Frisco
Tonight’s meeting is the first of a seven-event series informing homeowners, public officials, property managers and concerned citizens how to protect against wildfire in our changing forest conditions. Our featured presenters are Joel Cochran, Summit County Emergency Management director and Lesley Hall, Summit County Animal Control and Shelter director. Topics to be discussed include, how to receive emergency evacuation notifications, evacuation procedures, adequate homeowners insurance, the impact of changed forest conditions on future wildfire risk, and strategies to protect pets, horses, and livestock in case of wildfire.
The event is free and open to the public and everybody is welcome. We will meet from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Frisco Community Center (Third and Granite). For more information, contact Howard Hallman, firstname.lastname@example.org or (719) 491-1807. If you have animals, own a home or rent, manage properties or participate in local government, this meeting is for you.
