Former Breckenridge resident Henderson dies

Louise Henderson, age 70, passed away May 8. She is survived by her husband, James H. Henderson, of Colorado Springs; sons, James L. of Louisville and Christopher of Dallas, Texas; and three grandchildren.

She was born in Lyons, Kan. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kansas and after raising her children, earned a master’s degree and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of North Texas. She was a clinical psychologist in Dallas before moving to Breckenridge.

Louise was well known for her volunteer activities in support of the Breckenridge Music Festival, the Summit Historical Society, Father Dyer Methodist Church and the International Snow Sculpture Contest in Breckenridge.

Graveside services will be held in Louisville. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1445 North Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909 or http://www.cancer.org.
