VAIL ” A big piece of Vail’s “billion dollar renewal” fell into place Monday when developers broke ground on the $200 million Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail at the main Vail roundabout.

“(The Four Seasons) is a premier luxury hotel in the world, and Vail is a premier ski resort,” said T.J. Brink, vice president of Black Diamond Resorts-Vail LLC, the developer.

The resort ” the first Four Seasons in Colorado ” will have 120 hotel rooms, 16 condos and 19 time shares, and is scheduled to be completed in 2008. The resort will be built on a 2.7-acre property just southwest of the main Vail roundabout, on the site of the old Chateau at Vail and Vail Amoco.
