Fourth of July and the Dam Road

I read in the Summit Daily News several weeks ago that the Dillon Town Council decided not to have a parade on the Fourth of July, but planned on a spectacular ” July 4 in other ways. I am so grateful the National Repertory Orchestra comes every Fourth of July, as that was the only thing I saw that was spectacular and always is.

I also want to comment on the Denver Water Board closing the Dillon Dam Road, but allowing the bike path to remain open. How can they know that a person doesn’t have a few sticks of dynamite in their backpack?

Thirty-five million dollars for an alternate “byway.” Would they be paying for it?
