Free program supports those with multiple sclerosis

The Heuga Center will conduct its free, one-day JUMPSTART Program for multiple sclerosis patients and families from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Breckenridge Recreation Center on Saturday. JUMPSTART introduces people to The Heuga Center philosophy of proactive health and wellness as the best practice for managing MS. The workshop will include a keynote address titled, “Adding Wellness to your MS Therapy” by Boulder neurologist, Dr. George Garmany. There will also be two break-out sessions: “Pacing Yourself in a Fast-paced World,” presented by occupational therapist Juiann Hanson-Zlatev; and “Exercise Motivation,” presented by physical therapist and president of The Heuga Center Brian Hutchinson.
