Freestyle center is good idea but planned in the wrong location

John Walton, president, Tennis Townhouses Condominium Association

The proposed freestyle center for Keystone is a great idea for Summit County, but it’s planned for absolutely the wrong location.

It will have two gargantuan structures, one a 65-foot-tall ski jump and the other a 55-foot-high tentlike pavilion, as well as other outdoor activity centers, located adjacent to the quiet and serene residential neighborhoods of Quicksilver and Tennis Townhouses.

Our homeowners will have to contend with extreme noise, light and visual pollution if this theme park replaces the tennis center at Keystone.

We will vigorously defend our privacy by all possible means.
