Friends of Eagles Nest Wilderness trail-maintenance day set for Saturday

Daily News staff report

The Friends of Eagles Nest Wilderness need your help with a trail maintenance project on Saturday. We’ll be filling in a wet area along the Lower Cataract Lake Trail a short hike from the trailhead. FENW will supply tools, safety equipment and tailgate refreshments at the end of our work day. Volunteers should bring lunch, plenty of water and sturdy work boots. Meet at the Dillon District office in Silverthorne at 8 a.m. for a light breakfast and to carpool to the trail. We’ll return by 4 p.m. Join us in this rewarding work. For more info and to RSVP, call Bill Reed at (970) 513-9741.
