Friends of the Dillon Ranger District: get involved

Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD) is getting ready to kick off the 2011 volunteer season. FDRD works in partnership with the Dillon Ranger District to inspire stewardship of our local White River National Forest. As part of our ongoing efforts, we are currently looking for committed and passionate volunteers to join the Forest Stewards Program in any one of the following initiatives:Ranger Patroller – Hike or bike your favorite trails in a Forest Service volunteer uniform to educate trail users. (Applications due by April 15: Training date scheduled for April 30)Outreach Educator – Host popular trailheads to educate visitors and help in various community education events. (Applications due by April 15: Training date scheduled for April 30)Crew Leader – Gain new skills and lead groups during trail and service projects. (Applications due by May 25: Training dates scheduled for June 10-11)Youth Crew Leader – Act as a role model and help lead youth specific service projects. Past experience working with youth is required. (Applications due by May 25: Training dates scheduled for June 10-11)Get involved today and join FDRD’s 2011 season.
