Friends of the Dillon Ranger District needs volunteers Saturday

The Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD) needs volunteers to help pick up trash for National Forest Clean Up Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.Volunteers should meet at the following locations: Boreas Pass trailhead parking lot in Breckenridge, Park-n-Ride parking lot next to Fiesta Jalisco in Frisco, the Dillon Ranger District in Silverthorne and the Old Dillon Reservoir trailhead parking lot in Dillon.A volunteer crew of 10-20 people is needed at each site for the project. Volunteers should dress for a day outdoors and bring water, lunch and work gloves. Snacks and beverages will be provided at a tailgate party at the end of the workday.Contact Gus Van Vooren at (970) 389-6058 or guffvanvooren@msn.com to sign up for the project.
