Friends of the Libraries hold book and bake sale with longer hours

The Friends of the Summit County Libraries holds its December Book and Bake sale on Dec. 3-4 in the Buffalo Mountain Room at the County Commons Building near Frisco. In response to the public, this holiday sale will feature new, longer hours. The sale will be held from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4.”The December Book and Bake sale is always anticipated by the public,” said Summit County Libraries director Joyce Dierauer. “This year, in addition to delicious homemade baked goods, we have more books than I’ve ever.”On Friday hard covers are $2, paperbacks are $1 and magazines are just 10 cents.On Saturday, the prices for hard covers drop to $1 and paperbacks will be 50 cents, although the selection may not be as great as Friday. After 3 p.m. on Saturday, you can fill a bag with books for $3. All proceeds go to the Friends of the Summit County Libraries, a nonprofit group providing financial and volunteer assistance to the Summit County Libraries. For information, call (970) 668-5555.
