A vacant property along Frisco Main Street could soon be transformed into a food hall where families can sit outdoors year-round and select from options presented by a variety of well-known local eateries.
Construction of Prospector’s Marketplace, a 10,000-square-foot marketplace with a mining theme and four market-rate condominiums, is expected to begin at 310 Main St. in the coming weeks, according to Patti Edgar of Edgar-Roman Properties. The marketplace is tentatively scheduled to open May 2025, and the condo units are currently open for pre-sale.
“It’s going to be absolutely gorgeous,” Edgar said. “But they’re trying to bring it down to where it’s not going to be fancy blah-blah-blah. It’s going to have a modern feel but lean more toward camping and mining. The old-1800s vibe of the mountains. A more historic vibe, maybe.”
With space for 10 food options, two bars and a game room, Prospector’s Marketplace already has agreements with Crepes A La Cart, Chimayo Grill, True Blue Coffee & Gelato, Lucky Bird, Lazo Empanadas and McCoy’s Bar, Edgar said. Negotiations with three other local restaurants are ongoing, she added.
A 2,100-square-foot courtyard with ground heaters, radiant heat and a small stage will provide year-round outdoor seating with a food hall atmosphere, where family members can each choose their own food option, then all sit together, Edgar said. Upstairs, the adults and families alike will be able to enjoy the Gold Pan Game Room arcade.
“They want to provide Main Street with more affordable options rather than having to go to a full sit-down restaurant,” Edgar said.

Before Frisco Base Camp Marketplace, LLC, finalized the purchase of 310 Main St. earlier this year, a project known as Winter Plaza was planned for the space but never materialized. Prospector’s Marketplace replaced the Winter Plaza idea but maintained the original project plans.
The development’s four luxury condos are priced between $1.3 million and $2.5 million and offer views overlooking Frisco Main Street and the surrounding mountains, Edgar said. There are three one-bedroom units and one two-bedroom unit available.
“The condos, those are going to be very modern-rustic, very high end,” Edgar said.
