Frisco: Free women’s health workshop on Tuesday
Chriss Cowan, of the Qi Gong Institute, and naturopathic doctor Kim Nearpass offer a free workshop on women’s health on Tuesday, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the institute, located in the Professional Building at 101 W. Main St. Suite 109 in Frisco.
Dr. Nearpass will discuss the physiology of the transition into menopause, and will offer suggestions for natural support, nutrition and functional testing options. Cowan will introduce the notion of this transition as “The Second Spring” of a woman’s life, representing a renewal of energy and opportunities. She will demonstrate Qi Gong movements that can be used to keep emotionally and physically balanced.
