Frisco helps with Hurricane Katrina relief

The town of Frisco wishes to thank residents, businesses and visitors who contributed to Katrina relief efforts. Recent fundraisers resulted in more than $1,500 sent to the American Red Cross. The Frisco Chamber of Commerce dedicated all the tips from the beer booths at the recent Oktoberfest to the Red Cross Katrina relief fund. The tips netted $777 at the September 10 event. During the last weeks of the season at the Frisco Bay Marina, $750 was donated by visitors to the marina. Town of Frisco Marina employee Christy Blohm also coordinated the placement of Marina coolers in 16 businesses throughout Frisco. Over $750 was collected from the marina coolers.Linda LichtendahlTown of Frisco, communications and marketing director
