Frisco Historic Park conducts visitor survey

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

FRISCO – During the month of June, the Frisco Historic Park and Museum invites museum members, visitors and those in the community to provide feedback about the exhibits, programs and their overall experience at the Historic Park. The survey is another step toward a new strategic plan slated for completion later this summer. A display about the museum’s planning process is now open in the Log Chapel. Visitors and participants are encouraged to peruse the material and fill out a quick one-page survey on-site. Staff will also mail or e-mail surveys upon request. Anyone interested in requesting a survey should call Simone Belz, Frisco Historic Park and Museum Manager, at 668-3428 or e-mail simoneb@townoffrisco.com.During April and May, staff started the planning process and focused on capturing information from group meetings, an initial visitor survey and museum site visits throughout the area and the Front Range. The second phase of the planning process which includes the survey will be gathering visitor information throughout June.”We are now starting to focus in on visitor impact and specific areas of museum operation such as marketing, exhibits, programs and volunteer collaboration,” said Belz in a press release. “Inspired by many ideas, we are starting to carve our own plan for success.”A preliminary strategic plan will undergo review by the Frisco Town Council in late summer. Pending approval, the museum will enter into the 2008 budget process using the new strategic framework.Next year, staff will unveil the final plan – coinciding with the museum’s 25th anniversary.
