Frisco holiday parade starts with flyover


FRISCO – The Fantastic Frisco Fourth of July Parade on Sunday will begin with a flyover from the 120th Fighter Squadron from the Colorado Air National Guard at Buckley Air Force Base. At 12:35 p.m. look skyward as four F-16’s fly east to west over Frisco’s Main Street.All of Frisco, along with more than 10,000 parade spectators, will salute with pride this elite squadron that has been deployed since last year for Operation Iraqi Freedom on counter scud missions. The 120th has one fighter squadron in Iraq.Frisco Councilmember Tom Looby worked with a contact he knew at Buckley to make the flyover happen for Frisco’s parade. Capt. Brett Berringer of the 120th Squadron completed the arrangements and urged anyone interested in supporting the troops in Iraq with letters of appreciation to contact the Public Affairs Office at Buckley Air Force Base.- Daily News staff report
