Frisco hosts inaugural art festival this weekend

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

FRISCO ” Howard Alan, producer of the Aspen Art Festival and the Beaver Creek Art Festival, brings his tour with more than 150 artists from a juried selection to Summit County. The free inaugural Frisco Art Festival will take place along Main Street, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Artists from around the country will display more than $15 million in creations that will include original photography, mixed media, acrylic paintings, life-size sculptures, pottery, 3-D metal creations, woodwork, blown glass, hand-crafted jewelry and more.

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to meet each artist, commission personal pieces of work and hear firsthand how the work was created.
