Frisco Main Street closes today for Jeep commercial

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

FRISCO – Main Street will be closed between Third and Fifth avenues in Frisco today so DaimlerChrysler Corp., can film a Jeep commercial. The three blocks will be closed to traffic and parking from 6 a.m. to noon. Pedestrian traffic will still be allowed, and stores will be open. Traffic will be detoured onto Granite Street.According to location manager Ann Lukacs of Breckenridge, the commercial will benefit the town by giving it national exposure.”It’s something different, something fun,” she said. “It’s hard to do anything like this without inconveniencing somebody, but we’re going to do the best to communicate to people what’s going on so it’ll be as painless as possible. People can have fun with it.”Lukacs said she wasn’t sure what model vehicle the company would be showcasing.
