Frisco Nordic Center, sleigh rides end season

FRISCO – The ski season has concluded at the Frisco Nordic Center, which closed Sunday, April 6.

April 9 is the Nordic center’s latest closing date on record, but this season was the longest.

“This year is actually the longest season ever, since the center opened before Thanksgiving due to early snow,” said Frisco Public Works Deputy Director Rick Higgins.

The Nordic center’s closing also marks the end of the season for Two Below Zero Dinner Sleigh Rides, which ended Saturday.

“In the 19 years of sleigh rides, this is also our record longest season,” said Two Below Zero Dinner Sleigh Rides concessionaire Steve Lewis. “This year was smooth and safe and … we are looking forward to next year.”
