Frisco Peninsula Recreation Area opens today

FRISCO – The town of Frisco will open the Peninsula Recreation Area today. Unseasonably warm and dry weather is allowing the Frisco Public Works Department to prepare for the opening much earlier than normal.

At this time, the skate park, disc golf course and trails are open. However, if weather and trail conditions deteriorate, the peninsula is subject to closure at any time.

The Public Works Department also would like to remind everyone that the fire danger is extreme, and a very dry summer is in the forecast, so please dispose of cigarette butts and other flammables in the appropriate containers.

For more information on the Peninsula Recreation Area, call the Frisco Public Works Department at (970) 668-0836.
