Frisco police alert citizens to possible holiday scam calls

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT
Summit County, CO Colorado

FRISCO ” Citizens have notified the Frisco Police Department that a fraudulent caller is posing as a Frisco Police Officer and is seeking donations to help find lost children. The only holiday season program in which the department is participating is the “Adopt an Angel” program sponsored by the Silverthorne Police Department.

Chief Wickman advises that anyone who receives a similar call should say they will call the police department back for more information. The Chief added that citizens should not give any personal information to these types of callers over the phone.

If you receive a call asking for donations for the Frisco Police Department, please notify the department at (970) 668-3579.
