The Frisco Police Department says it arrested a man Sunday night, April 6, on charges accusing him of hitting another person in the face with a gun and pointing the weapon at them.
Police arrested the man on charges of felony menacing, large capacity magazine prohibited, second degree assault, prohibited use of a weapon and obtaining control over a stolen thing of value, according to the Frisco Police Department.
When police arrived on scene around 12:20 a.m. Sunday, the victim exited the house to meet them, Frisco Police Chief Tom Wickman said in an email responding to questions from Summit Daily News.
An officer then called the suspect, who was under the influence of alcohol, on his cell phone and ordered him out of the house, Wickman said. Police arrested the man after he complied with the officer’s orders, he said.
The Frisco Police Department, citing an ongoing investigation, declined Summit Daily’s requests for additional information about where in town the incident occurred or the identity of the person arrested.
Summit Daily has filed a records request with the police department seeking additional details related to the arrest.
