Frisco reopens Meadow Creek Pond for skating
Summit Daily staff report
File
The town of Frisco has reopened the Meadow Creek Pond, offering free ice-skating for the public from dawn until 10 p.m. daily.
The pond was initially opened in November, but the town was forced to close it in early December due to ice fishing holes drilled into the ice, causing the surface to flood with water. Thanks to work by the town’s public works department, the pond is now skateable once again.
The pond, located off Meadow Drive and Basecamp Way, will be lit until 10 p.m. “No Fishing” signs have been posted around the pond, and the town is asking those interested in ice fishing to look elsewhere.
