Frisco’s town council welcomed Diane McBride Tuesday as the town’s new director of recreation.

McBride previously worked for the Town of Breckenridge at the Breckenridge Recreation Center for more than 10 years. She was the center manager for the past year-and-a-half, and before that, the programs manager and sports and special events coordinator.

“We’re really excited for Diane to join the team and for her to take the next chapter implementing the Frisco Adventure Park and moving recreation in Frisco forward,” town manager Michael Penny said.

Among McBride’s tasks at the adventure park: working to increase revenues and working with town staff to come up with new programs and ideas.

McBride said she brings lots of energy, programming experience, creativity and the ability to work in a team to the job.

“Frisco’s a great town,” McBride said. “The people are wonderful and the job itself presents a lot of new and exciting opportunities.”
