Frisco wins Summit Chamber’s Best Team of the Year award
The Summit Chamber of Commerce named Frisco “Best Team of the Year” at the chamber’s annual Business Excellence Awards.
The chamber created the Business Excellence Awards to recognize business owners and operators in the county for their imagination, industriousness, innovation and overall achievements. The Best Team of the Year award was new in 2020, added as a way for businesses to recognize their employees.
“This likely is one of the most important moments in modern history to be a high functioning local government team that understands we are here to serve and support our community,” Frisco Mayor Hunter Mortensen said in a release. “Our team shatters the old perceptions of public employees by rising to deliver high quality customer service every day. Our employees have exemplified what it means to work together to say yes to solutions and take risks while being flexible, nimble and innovative during the response to this pandemic.”
Officials credited Town Manager Nancy Kerry who helped the town take on new initiatives.
“The employees serving the Frisco community are outstanding,” Kerry said in a release. “Across the board, they exemplify the best in public service, and it shows in all we do.”
