Fundraiser to benefit Summit Housing Authority

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

The Summit Association of Realtors will hold its seventh annual Fashion Show Fundraiser on June 6 at the Silverthorne Pavilion to benefit the Summit Housing Authority’s down payment assistance program.

This program assists many qualifying Summit County families and individuals in being able to purchase a home with minimal down payment. Summit Housing Authority program firector Joy Klein says it’s important to note how the program works.

“We issue loans to qualifying applicants at a 3 percent interest with varying repayment terms and length of loan,” Klein said. “These revolving loan funds are then paid back so we can continue to help other families in the future.”

The June 6 event will consist of a silent auction, cocktails, dinner and fashion show. Channel 2 weathercaster Angie Austin will emcee the event. Ticket prices are $45 per ticket or $315 for a table of eight. Tickets are only being sold in advance and will not be available for purchase at the door.

For tickets and more information, contact the Silverthorne Rec Center at (970) 262-7396.
