Gary Williams: Increase regional skier days

In today’s harsh economic times it is commendable that Vail Resorts has maintained the current price for next year’s Epic Pass ” even though free parking is a horrific problem at their Vail resort. As a means to greatly increase “Regional Skier Days” at their other local resorts, I highly recommend they sufficiently reduce the price of next year’s Colorado Pass to a level to maximize their bottom line. Doing so would also increase the income of surrounding businesses and communities due to a vast increase in regional skiers visits; not to mention the good will Vail Resorts would receive in this continuing tough economy where discretionary spending is a definite consideration for the majority.
