FRISCO – Citizens interested in running for a municipal office in Summit County are invited to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, Feb. 9, to answer any questions about becoming a candidate for town council seats in any of the five towns. The town clerks from Silverthorne, Breckenridge, Dillon, Blue River and Frisco will be hosting the meeting from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Fremont Room at the Summit County Community Senior Center near Frisco.”The municipal elections will be held on April 4 in all the towns, and we want to encourage residents of Summit County to get more involved in their communities,” said Frisco town clerk Deborah Wohlmuth. “The town clerks invite interested candidates to this joint meeting, where we will discuss information regarding the elections and give an insight into what’s involved in entering the municipal races.” For more information, contact Wohlmuth at (970) 668-9122; Michele Karlin, Silverthorne town clerk, at (970) 262-7304; Mary Jean Loufek, Breckenridge town clerk, at (970) 453-3167; Jan Thomas, Dillon town clerk, at (970) 262-3406; or Kathy Neel, Blue River town clerk, at (970) 547-0545.
