Get real about the long drive to a store

Stephanie Lane, Silverthorne

How lazy can we be? When I read that a 4.46-mile drive is too far away to drive to a supermarket, I was shocked.

When someone complains about a 4.46-mile drive to reach a destination, I find that lazy.

Personally, a 4.46-mile drive to Dillon is what – a four-minute drive.

People are acting like Frisco and Dillon are an hour away or 75.56 miles.

Get real, people. Next time you drive your 4.46- or 6.1-mile drive to a grocery store, look around. It seems there are more empty spaces than filled ones.

Has anyone seen the factory stores? It’s a ghost town. Why not condense a section or village and build there. Why would another mall survive, when the factory stores are slowly going under? I guess it must be the LONG drive.
