Get together to handle maintenance of heavily used road

Larry D. Stone, Frisco

My understanding is that Pitkin Street (Miner’s Creek Drive) between Eighth Avenue and Jug Creek is located within the town of Frisco.

On this segment of the road, I have always assumed that the town of Frisco would be required to provide maintenance.

My understanding is that it collects property taxes from the homes located on Miner’s Creek Drive (Pitkin Street).

I am not aware of it providing any gravel, grading, paving or snowplowing to maintain that segment.

Perhaps the Bill’s Ranch Homeowners Association, the county and the town of Frisco should get together and properly coordinate the maintenance of this heavily used road.

The town of Frisco and the county receive property taxes and the town also gets a real estate transfer tax.

They should consider providing services in return.
