Gibbs, Scanlan tackle Summit County gas prices

Daily Staff Report

DILLON ” State Sen. Dan Gibbs and State Rep. Christine Scanlan will host a forum tonight on why gas prices are so high in the high country. The discussion is set for 6 p.m. at Dillon Town Hall.

According to a press release, some of the questions to be addressed include:

“If it’s the same product, why is gas so much more expensive in Summit County?”

“Is this free market capitalism or price gouging?”

“Are there any other options? Should I look into buying a ski rack for my mountain bike?”

Grier Bailey of the Colorado Wyoming Petroleum Marketers Association is also slated to appear, as is a Representative of AAA Colorado
