Give different hip hop a chance

It is absolutely ridiculous to see an article about Ja Rule in the Summit Daily. It was bad enough that only three sentences were written about The Procussions, the best hip hop group to ever come out of Colorado. Two weeks ago, The Procussions made an appearance at Sherpa & Yeti’s. Without a doubt, it was one of the best shows I have ever seen at Sherpa’s. Think of a jazz band that can not only play their instruments, but also captivate an audience with their creative, relevant and conscious rhymes on the microphone. Not to mention their DJ, Vajra, who got third place in the USA DMC DJ battle. Why doesn’t he get a half a page? He’s from Boulder and should be appreciated in his home state. Is it that hard to find out what’s going on around you? Why didn’t the Symbient Beings get a few sentences of exposure? If you are trying to kill the live music scene in the county, I understand.
