This is a championship course that’s quite challenging with lots of water, trees and other hazards. Compared to many mountain courses it’s fairly flat, so it’s a very walkable, enjoyable course. From the back tees, the course measures 7136 yards, making it known as one of the longest municipal courses in the state.

Built in 1952, this course of small undulating greens is nicknamed “The Hill” because everything’s on a slope. Not a long course, but what it lacks in length it makes up for in challenging greens and fairways.

Take I-70 to exit 116 (Glenwood Springs). Turn left at 6th Street and go west until a fork in the road (1 mile). Veer right to Nonegan Road and turn right at Sunny Acres Road (about 1/2 mile).

This very new course was just named the 19th best course in Colorado by Golf Digest. They say it plays like three different course, with 9 holes along the Roaring Fork rive, 5 holes in the mountains and the remaining four links-style. With a full view of Mt. Sopris in the distance, this is a signature High Country course.

Take Highway 82 from Glenwood Springs toward Aspen about two miles. Turn right on Westbank Road. Cross the bridge and follow Westbank Road to the course.
