Good Samaritan from Silverthorne cited

Daily Staff Writer

I am writing to thank a Good Samaritan citizen from Silverthorne who helped me change a flat tire on Highway 133 on Aug. 9. I was by myself, and late for work, and as it turns out, I did not have a wrench in my car to get the lug nuts off of my tire. There was no cell phone service where I was, and the likelihood of any state trooper coming along was slim, to say the least. One of your residents, a nice girl from Silverthorne, who had been visiting friends in Paonia, was nice enough to stop and ask if I needed any help.I am sorry to say that I did not get her name, but I wanted to express my appreciation and say that friendly people like her are the reason that so many people choose to live in the Colorado High Country So thank you, stranger. I plan to “pay it forward” – do something nice for at least three people when I have the chance.
