Grand Timber Lodge again gives to Breck schools

Grand Timber Lodge and 80 merchant businesses donated $2,367.53 to each of four schools in Breckenridge. The bi-annual donation stems from the Grand Timber Lodge Merchant Program that bestows 5 percent of its redeemed gift certificates to local nonprofits. The recipient schools are Little Red School House, Carriage House Early Learning Center, Upper Blue Elementary and Breckenridge Elementary.Since the program’s inception five years ago, Grand Timber Lodge and the participating merchants have donated more than $55,000 to the community’s schools. The Merchant Program helps the schools with some needed financial assistance and at the same time puts about $500,000 annually into community businesses through the collaborative merchant certificates issued by Grand Timber Lodge. Mike Millisor, president of Grand Timber Lodge said, “I’d like to extend a big thanks to all of the participating merchants who have helped make this program a success, and for sharing in our belief that a strong educational system is the foundation for a successful community.”
