Gravity Games went just fine

Anita Gray, Copper Mountain

Re: “Copper, others, casting their lot with the wrong crowd” SDN March 11.With regard to the Gravity Games held at Copper, I take exception to the writer who wrote that the “L.L. Bean set and the Abercrombie & Fitch set are as compatible as oil and water.” While many Front Range skiers and others chose to stay away, the Gravity Games held at Copper were fabulous for those who came to view the events. Intrawest did an exceptional job with the games. As this newspaper reported, incidents were low and not much more occurred than would have on any crowded weekend in any ski resort anywhere. The slopes were in mint condition and the skiing was absolutely wonderful. My 56-year-old legs always choose to ski, and I have never tried snowboarding. But like it or not, snowboards are here to stay. As with skiers, there are some who choose to board responsibly – and others who do not.
