Greg Abernathy: We need a new DA
Breckenridge
I have to agree with Rob Andrews’ opinion that we need a new DA. When I read from the Vail Daily about Mark Hurlbert dropping felony charges against a Martin Erzinger who hit and ran on a bicyclist in Eagle County I was astonished. His reasoning was that he is a money manager for ultra-wealthy individuals for Morgan Stanley and it would hurt his position. The victim is a surgeon from New york who suffered a broken back, concussion and great pain. His livelihood is threatened. He hit him and ran leaving him on the road as if he were dead. Read about this in the Vail Daily or on The Huffington Post. It is bad enough what our DA has done to Dennis Flint, two failed trials and looking to change venues costing more money. We truly need to think about him and his priorities.
