Group wants to grow organically in Summit

The Guild & Gardens plans to start a community organic garden in Summit County. The group is currently looking for open land with good sun exposure to buy or lease. An acre of land could provide adequate space for a small greenhouse and enough land to set up cold frames and garden plots. As little as a half of an acre of land could get the garden started. The greenhouse and cold frames will be built by locals with recycled materials from the community. Special garden programs will be designed for children, adults and groups of all ages. The group is looking to evaluate the community’s interest. E-mail Kim and Cole at or call (970) 471-2197 to give input or for more information.
