Haiti Hope House project under way

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

Members of Lord of the Mountains Lutheran Church have begun a drive to obtain sponsorships for Haitian children. There are currently 47 donors who have agreed to sponsor a child for $30 a month or $360 a year. More sponsors are needed. The sponsorship money has purchased a stove, Christmas presents, dining room tables, paint and food. The sponsorship money will pay for the shipping of a container full of needed materials. To sponsor a child contact Nancy Spears at (970) 262-0766 or e-mail Deborah@deborahhage.com. A container is in the process of being filled to send to Haiti. Items collected in Summit County can be brought to the front modular classroom at the old Silverthorne Elementary School site, located at 465 Brian Ave. Call Deborah at (970) 262-2998 to arrange a drop off time. Items in good condition are needed. Call Deborah to join the Summit County Haiti committee.
